Royal jelly is a highly active biological substance produced by nurse bees and exclusively intended for the queen. This difference in diet is enough to transform an ordinary larva into a fertile and extremely resilient organism.
This superfood has a very specific nutrient composition. Royal jelly is rich in vitamins (especially those in group B), trace elements, amino acids, and enzymes, but it is particularly four components that largely explain its benefits:
10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA)
A fatty acid with numerous virtues
This fatty acid, found only in royal jelly, has many virtues:
- Immunomodulatory: it regulates immunity, useful in case of infection but also in case of allergies or autoimmune diseases
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antioxidant and cell protector: it extends cell lifespan
- Hormonal regulator: it supports the neuro-endocrine axis, useful in cases of adrenal fatigue, convalescence, menstrual cycle disorders, perimenopause
Defensin (royalisin)
Natural antibiotic of the hive
- Potent antibacterial
- Antiviral
- Antifungal
- Anti-biofilm: it prevents microorganisms from protecting themselves in matrices that serve as their shield and make them difficult to dislodge. Very useful in chronic infections.
- Supports mucous membranes: Intestine, mouth, ENT sphere, vagina
Phospholipids
Major lipid components of cell membranes
- Regeneration and flexibility of cell membranes damaged by oxidative stress
- Essential for nervous transmission (neurotransmitter circulation) and endocrine transmission (hormone circulation)
Acetylcholine
A rare neurotransmitter in the diet
- Improves memory and concentration
- Fights mental fog
- Promotes relaxation, digestion, and recovery
Royal jelly has a gentle, transversal action that deeply restores the body's adaptive capacity on nervous, endocrine, and immune levels.
It can therefore be used in cases of:
- Profound fatigue, physical or nervous
- Convalescence, burnout, chronic stress
- Hyperactivity, attention deficit disorders
- Aging prevention
- Recurrent infections
- Immunity disorders of the mucous membranes
- Inflammatory conditions
- Hormonal imbalances (menopause, libido, fertility, etc.)
To benefit from its advantages, courses of 3 to 6 weeks are recommended, one dose in the morning on an empty stomach.
Royal jelly is contraindicated for people allergic or intolerant to bee products. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use it with caution.
