Plant extracts

Plant extracts are natural preparations obtained from different parts of plants (roots, leaves, flowers, or seeds) to concentrate their active ingredients. They are a practical and effective way to benefit from the goodness of plants as part of a wellness and phytotherapy approach. Depending on the extraction method used, the extracts may have slightly different compositions and uses.
Among the most common methods are hydroalcoholic extracts, made using a mixture of water and alcohol. This process allows for the extraction of a wide range of active compounds and produces preparations that are often highly concentrated, also called tinctures or fluid extracts. There are also glycerin extracts, obtained from vegetable glycerin. These extracts are generally milder in taste and may be better suited for sensitive individuals or children.

Meadowsweet is traditionally used for joint comfort. Grapefruit Seed Extract, often called GSE, is known for its purifying properties and its use in daily hygiene.
Other plants are also highly prized in phytotherapy. Marshmallow is known for its softening and soothing properties, especially for the throat and mucous membranes. Passionflower is renowned for promoting relaxation and contributing to quality sleep.
