Moxibustion

The benefits

Pure or smokeless mugwort moxas

We offer two types of moxa:

Pure mugwort moxa sticks are made of pure mugwort and charcoal, with no added medicinal plants. These moxas respect the principles of traditional Chinese medicine.

Smokeless moxa sticks are made of mugwort mixed with essential plants from the Chinese pharmacopoeia, such as Quiang Huo or Asarum. Compressed into rigid sticks, they are easy to use and emit no smoke or unpleasant odors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose smokeless moxa?

Smoke can sting the eyes and have a strong odor, which is why some people prefer smokeless moxa.

How to know which acupuncture point to activate with moxas?

You can read our Moxibustion Practical Guides, which will explain in detail how to release energy using acupuncture points.

What is the difference between acupuncture and moxibustion?

Acupuncture and moxibustion are two techniques originating from traditional Chinese medicine. They are based on the same principles (the circulation of energy, called Qi), but use different methods. In acupuncture, very fine needles are inserted into the body's meridians. In moxibustion, heat is used by burning a plant near the meridians.
