Organic Tarragon Essential Oil
From the Greek "drakonion," Tarragon was used in the Middle Ages against snake bites, toothaches, plague, and cholera, because its root was thought to resemble a dragon. This "dragon herb," named Artemisia in Latin in honor of Artemis, the protective goddess of women, was also highly recommended for treating gynecological infections. However, this aromatic plant is perennial and bushy, which makes its cultivation difficult. It is present in France, especially in Provence, where the production of Tarragon essential oil is primarily intended for perfumery.
Organic Tarragon essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the aerial parts of Artemisia dracunculus L.
Organic Tarragon essential oil is known for its soothing properties. Its slightly aniseed, invigorating and uplifting scent makes it a highly appreciated essence.
