A small shrub about 5 meters high, Cade is often confused with Juniper, to which it bears a strong resemblance. They can be distinguished because Cade has two white stripes on its needle-shaped leaves, while juniper only has one. Growing in the Hautes-Alpes, it is a typical tree of the south of France.
Organic and 100% pure Cade essential oil is obtained by steam distilling the branches of Juniperus oxycedrus L. Its woody scent evokes that of Cedar.
Purifying, Cade essential oil also has restorative properties that made cade oil a staple in traditional pharmacopoeia.
