Description

Serge Villecroix's Practical Guide to Moxas presents this traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture method.

Since the dawn of time, China and Japan, countries with millennia of scientific knowledge, have known how to rebalance disrupted energies by applying moxas (small mugwort cones) to certain anatomical areas (acupuncture points).

Moxibustion, through its Yang energetic input, helps to tonify and harmonize. This results in stimulation activating the constant flow of energy called Qi (pronounced chee). Thanks to this traditional method, the balance between Yin and Yang is maintained and the body as a whole regains its well-being.

Moxibustion

The benefits

Moxibustion helps relieve certain chronic pains, particularly joint and muscle pain, by providing penetrating heat. It is also used to improve digestion, boost immunity and reduce fatigue. Some practices use it to support stress- and sleep-related disorders.

Mugwort moxas, pure or smokeless

We offer two types of moxa:

Pure mugwort moxa sticks are made of pure mugwort and charcoal, with no added medicinal plants. These moxa sticks adhere to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine.

Smokeless moxa sticks are made of mugwort mixed with essential plants from the Chinese pharmacopoeia, such as Qiang Huo or Asarum. Compressed into rigid sticks, they are easy to use and do not emit smoke or unpleasant odors.
