Cultivation & Origin
Milder than other types of rosemary, cineole rosemary was used since ancient times for its tonifying and antispasmodic virtues, particularly to treat digestive problems. Like thyme, rosemary was also widely used by the Egyptians, especially during funeral rites. Besides its widely known aromatic power in cooking, rosemary is also used in the composition of certain cosmetic treatments, notably the famous Hungary water, which was originally an alcoholic extract of rosemary.
Health Benefits
Helps fight digestive disorders :
-
Antispasmodic and carminative, organic cineole rosemary essential oil is mainly recognized for its positive action on the digestive system. Its benefits have been validated by the European Medicines Agency, which recently approved its virtues for fighting carminative disorders, and more particularly against flatulence, abdominal distension, and dyspepsia. This essential oil also has an effect on the hepatic sphere, by contributing to balancing the production of bile and pancreatic juices.
Promotes respiratory comfort :
-
Due to its biochemical composition, organic cineole rosemary essential oil is also recommended to help regain comfort in cases of respiratory problems such as sinusitis, colds, or bronchitis, as it has an expectorant and anticatarrhal action.
For this use, it can be used in atmospheric diffusion, or topically by diluting it beforehand in a vegetable oil before applying it by massaging the upper back. It can also be combined with other essential oils such as ravintsara or eucalyptus for a more powerful synergy.
Contributes to muscle well-being :
-
Rich in cineole, caryophyllene, and camphor, cineole rosemary essential oil can also be recommended in cases of muscle tension (aches, cramps..) to help regain comfort and mobility. It has an interesting anti-inflammatory action, which allows it to act on inflammation mediators and receptors. As with any topical use, it should be diluted beforehand in a vegetable oil before being applied with light massages to the affected areas. It can also be incorporated into massage oil recipes for sports, especially with other active ingredients like arnica or peppermint essential oil for a more pronounced refreshing effect.
Naturally stimulates the body :
-
Invigorating, organic cineole rosemary essential oil is ideal for use in well-being to naturally combat feelings of physical or psychological fatigue. Its fresh and pleasant scent also promotes concentration and helps reduce stress. It can be combined in atmospheric diffusion with black spruce or Scots pine, or applied to the solar plexus by massaging it, diluted beforehand in a vegetable oil.
Cosmetic Properties
Revitalizes the skin and provides radiance :
-
On the skin, cineole rosemary essential oil will primarily be used to care for combination, oily, and problematic skin, as well as to bring radiance to dull complexions. It can thus be incorporated directly into homemade cosmetic recipes: serums, moisturizing creams, or purifying masks to take advantage of its many properties.
Helps fight hair loss and stimulates growth :
-
In oil baths or added to shampoo, cineole rosemary essential oil also helps to purify the scalp, prevent and limit the appearance of dandruff, and stimulate hair growth. In hair masks, it contributes to revitalizing the hair fiber and providing shine, alone or in combination with other essential oils such as peppermint or ylang-ylang, for example.
Facilitates circulatory comfort :
-
In body care, organic cineole rosemary essential oil also helps to stimulate blood circulation and regain comfort in cases of vascular disorders. It can be combined with other essential oils such as lemon, juniper, or grapefruit, diluted in a vegetable oil and applied to the legs from the ankles gradually moving up towards the calves to stimulate blood circulation.
Usage Tips
Anti-infectious, antiviral, expectorant, and anticatarrhal, organic cineole rosemary essential oil has many benefits. It is mainly recommended for respiratory infections to help regain comfort, as well as to promote digestion and combat disorders.
In well-being, it is used in diffusion or olfaction to revitalize the body, especially in cases of physical or intellectual fatigue. Athletes also appreciate it for promoting muscle comfort and helping to limit inflammation.
On the skin, organic cineole rosemary essential oil acts as support to help revitalize dull skin, but also to purify combination to oily skin. It can also be incorporated into shampoos or homemade hair care products to help fight dandruff and to naturally stimulate hair growth.
Organic cineole rosemary essential oil can be used alone or in combination with other essential oils to strengthen or complement its various properties.
