Cultivation & Origin

Native to Australia, as well as the islands of Madagascar and New Caledonia, niaouli is a fast-growing and highly proliferating tree. Indeed, it can grow 1 to 2 meters per year, and can produce seeds 5 times a year. This is why it is considered an invasive species, particularly in Florida where it proliferates abundantly.

The Kanak tribes of New Caledonia had long known its medicinal virtues and used it as a building material.

In Europe, Niaouli appeared in the 19th century and was notably used later, during the 1st and 2nd World Wars.

Health Properties

Helps to combat ENT and respiratory problems :

• Organic niaouli essential oil is naturally expectorant thanks to its high concentration of eucalyptol. Thanks to its anti-infectious and immunostimulant properties, it is the star essential oil of winter and is very useful for finding respiratory comfort in case of respiratory tract congestion.
