It must be admitted that this herb adds a characteristic taste to dishes, especially those based on white meat such as chicken, in traditional Asian dishes or sauces such as the famous béarnaise! Easily cultivated, this aromatic plant does not require much maintenance. When it starts to grow taller, it is advisable to cut the tip of the stems to promote bushiness and leaf proliferation.
Health Properties
In addition to its highly appreciated aromatic flavor in culinary use, organic tarragon essential oil also has many health benefits:
Helps to fight against spasms :
-
Organic tarragon essential oil is primarily renowned for its very powerful antispasmodic benefits. It effectively helps prevent the appearance of all types of spasms: digestive, emotional... and is particularly effective against hiccups.
This essential oil acts effectively on the smooth muscles present in the intestinal, urinary and respiratory systems. To reduce spasms, tarragon essential oil should be used in massage on the abdomen, diluted in a vegetable oil as oral use is not recommended. It will also be recommended in cases of motion sickness, in combination with peppermint essential oil, for example.
Provides well-being in cases of allergic disorders :
-
Tarragon essential oil is well known for its antiallergic properties. It owes its properties to its concentration in methyl-chavicol (estragole): the major active ingredient of the product. Indeed, this substance acts directly on histamine and serotonin receptors, which blocks allergic reactions. It is therefore an effective and fast remedy against allergic manifestations, particularly hay fever or allergic asthma. For this use, it is recommended for massage on the solar plexus and previously diluted in a vegetable oil to avoid any risk of skin irritation.
Soothes stress and helps prevent anxiety attacks :
-
The antispasmodic properties of organic tarragon essential oil are also useful for well-being. Mentally, it offers a tonic and stimulating effect, and helps to overcome stress and anxiety. If you have problems with concentration or nervousness, you can also diffuse it for a few minutes in the ambient air to create a calming and soothing atmosphere.
Cosmetic Properties
Helps to relieve muscle tension :
-
In cosmetic use, organic tarragon essential oil is mainly recommended for relaxing muscles before physical exertion and calming muscle soreness and cramps after a sports session. For external application, it must always be diluted beforehand in a vegetable oil. You can use it alone, or in synergy with other essential oils with similar or complementary properties such as wintergreen essential oil or juniper essential oil, for example.
